Supports for raised floors

The support panels for the Raised Floor system can be made from three materials: wood-based composite, calcium sulphate, or porcelain stoneware. These cores are bonded to the top finish layer and edged with a self-extinguishing plastic material that provides protection against noise and creaking. The underside can be protected by a vapour barrier consisting of a sheet of melamine, aluminium, PVC, steel, or similar material.

Our excellence: IT 2.6 porcelain-on-porcelain solution

Reduced thickness

A total thickness of just 26 mm. Ideal for building renovations involving low floor levels and height restrictions.

High density and stability

The monolithic coupling ensures high specific weight, eliminating vibrations and flexing underfoot.

Acoustic comfort

Impact sound insulation performance comparable to traditional chipboard or sulphate-based solutions.

Total non-absorbency

Water-inert material. Prevents structural deterioration caused by water infiltration or rising damp.

Indoor-outdoor aesthetic continuity

The same ceramic surface can be extended outdoors, ensuring seamless visual architecture.

Value engineering and sustainability

Adopting the system ensures optimized long-term margins.

  • In-house production chain: thanks to our control over production, we ensure a highly competitive price.
  • Long-term cost reduction: the material's non-absorbent nature drastically cuts costs associated with periodic maintenance.
  • Certifications and tenders: the system's native CAM compliance facilitates access to public tenders and LEED protocols.

Other available supports

Engineered wood IT 5.0

High-density wood-based composite panel composed of wood chips, resins, and inert fillers, featuring high mechanical strength and fire resistance. Total thickness, including porcelain stoneware finish, is approximately 50 mm.

Calcium sulfate IT 4.0

High-density calcium sulphate panel with a core composed of a mixture of anhydrous calcium sulphate reinforced with organic fibres, free from asbestos and any toxic materials. The panel offers high mechanical strength and fire resistance, excellent sound absorption, and minimal impact noise transmission. Total thickness, including the porcelain stoneware finish, is approximately 40 mm.

Faq

Is a raised floor with stoneware supports noisier when walked on than one with chipboard or calcium sulphate supports?

No, the perception that ceramic is inferior in acoustics is a false myth debunked by technical data. Evaluating the impact noise of raised floors with stoneware supports , the sound insulation values are aligned with those of sulphate systems. The high mass and density of the sintered support (approximately 2,200 kg/m³) effectively dampen vibrations. The numbers confirm the parity of performance, ensuring high acoustic comfort even for technical floors in executive offices or open-plan spaces.
