Flooring installation
Installation of raised floors
The construction of a raised floor, carried out following the system design, is guaranteed by Imola Tecnica’s highly specialized teams. It consists of the following phases:
-
1
The tracking
Before starting the flooring installation, the installation grid is drawn on the ground according to the detailed plan, so as to define the position of the columns and allow for the installation of utilities without obstructing the structure. The grid is drawn starting from a right angle (called a square) to ensure the joints are aligned.
-
2
Assembly of the substructure
The structure will be assembled by first placing the support columns at the points defined by the markings. If the subfloor is not perfectly smooth or level, these can be glued with a polyurethane-based adhesive. The crosspieces, with their anti-vibration and anti-dust gaskets, will then be attached to the column heads.
-
3
Mounting the panels
After assembling the structure, the floor will be leveled using a laser level; it's also possible to use a line to determine the height of the structure. Each panel will then be gravity-fed onto the previously assembled structure, ensuring it's perfectly level by adjusting the height of the support columns. The perimeter panels will be left for last, cut to size and completing the raised floor installation by compressing it between the perimeter walls of the room.
