System Description

IMOLA TECNICA IT-KL metal structure sized to withstand static and dynamic load stresses according to regulations, consisting of:

  • Anchoring plugs suitable for the support;
  • 6060 aluminium anchoring brackets with “L” section, 3 mm thick, complete with pre-fixing retaining spring;
  • Standardized aluminum rivets or self-drilling stainless steel screws for fixing the uprights to the brackets;
  • 6060 aluminum uprights with a “T” section, 2 mm thick (with the option of black anodization);
  • Standard stainless steel rivets or self-drilling screws for fixing the plates to the uprights;
  • Stainless steel support plate complete with AISI 316 stainless steel clips.

  1. Static diagram and thermal management

    The brackets, fixed to the existing wall support using appropriately sized mechanical or chemical anchors, will be such as to create a static structure that allows the vertical uprights to be fixed using "fixed point" and "sliding point" rivets as per the executive design drawn up by a registered engineer, leaving freedom of movement in the longitudinal direction so as not to impede thermal expansion.

  2. Support and finishing plate

    The black support plate will be complete with EPDM gaskets to prevent vibrations of the facing and may have clips painted in a similar color to the chosen facing plate.

    The system thus composed will have horizontal and vertical joints between the facing panels of 8 mm.

The hooking systems

The structures, designed by Imola Tecnica down to the smallest detail, are secured to the support so that the only loads acting on them are the system’s own weight and the wind. The cladding can be supported with visible hooks (colored to match the panels) or with an invisible fastening system, ensuring the best aesthetic result every time.

The system with “concealed” fixings involves processing the sheet that allows it to be attached to the structure with elements that are not visible from the outside of the facade.

The system with “exposed” fixings involves supporting the slabs and therefore using (exposed) hooks that can be colored and customized to match the color tones of the slabs.

Punctual replacement

In the event of serious accidental impacts, the mechanical fastening system on the aluminum and steel support allows the single damaged sheet to be removed and replaced.
